Melanie Davis
The Dean
Melanie Davis after twenty-five years in fashion decided to turn her efforts into creating a platform to an exciting young audience who are wanting to know all about the different avenues of fashion.
Melanie started her design career at the age of 8 cutting her father’s shirts for her doll’s new outfits. She graduated from Ravensbourne College of Art and went straight into industry. In the late 80’s Melanie launched her first label, lovingly called Pamplemousse because of the love of grapefruit at the time. The brand enjoyed enormous success and wonderful high-profile partnerships. Pamplemousse was loved and enjoyed and expanded from womenswear to men’s and kids wear and ended up being a global brand with representations all over the world.
Melanie went from casual “chill out wear” to launching in complete contrast a range of red-carpet dresses at Body Frock, the brand that boasts “the dress with the inner secret”. With this colourful career achieved, Melanie now has the desire to create a platform for her immense knowledge to be shared.
